The Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation has been working in partnership with Forestry England since 2019 to restore White-tailed Eagle to Southern England. Since then 45 eagles have been released on the Isle of Wight and two successful breeding pairs have established, successfully fledging the first young in Southern England in over 240 years.
You can now re-visit the history of the project via the Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation website, including some of the detailed tracking reports we’ve carried out covering the juveniles first exploratory flights, press releases from the first breeding pairs, and a timeline of the first releases on the Isle of Wight.
